Did Clarkson just gain like 8 mp/h by increasing his tire pressures? That seems like a pretty insane gain and those top speeds.
Wasn't Bonneville but one of those Mojave salt flats where I first reached 100 mph in a '57 Buick at 6 years old.
Ok, technically sitting on my dad's lap and likely not the only one with hands on the wheel but was still 100 mph. Ah, the 60s. I miss those days when each weekend we did things that would get CPS arresting our parents today. Good times!

Alright, so some years later actually had my life in a spot where I could spend some time in full screen watching youtube.
Just look at the small mannerisms of these guys doing the salt flats and watch the production and the camera work. Has any public television ever funded such a piece aimed at men in modern times? Men are often easily taken for granted, even the stronger ones, but this piece did none of that. Going to my retitirement nostalgia folder. God speed everyone
