Agree Sorrento the ideal Base for the Amalfi coast, vesuvius and capri
We stayed only one night in Korčula and Its a huge regret! It was amazing and we hope to make it back and dedicate more time. Stobreč was great too!
5:41 "kinda portuguese"? what do you mean? madeira is completely portuguese. we have our differences, but we are part of the same culture
Amsterdam? Try Rotterdam. Yes, Valencia is much better than overrated Barcelona. Italy? So many choices, try Palermo, Otranto. No to Glasgow: Edimburgh gets the price any time.
Its nice that you put up a list with alternatives, but as you've mentioned at the beginning "those popular places are popular for a reason"
Edinburgh is the good looking girl with no personality whereas Glasgow is the less attractive one with all the fun
No European country is overrated. Overrated, however, is the United States with serious political, social and economic problems.
Madeira is ‘kinda’ Portuguese? Ok then… 😂
As a person living in Slovenia, I can confirm it's packed with places to visit. Having been to most major places in Europe, my favorite part to travel is Belgium and the Netherlands. Also Lisbon is super cute for a short vacation.
Madeira isnt "kinda portuguese", it is portuguese.
Thank you for nothing. Instead of Switzerland (Zermatt) Garmisch (Germany)? No, instead of Zermatt for example Samnaun (Switzerland).
Madeira, the best of all the destinations in Europe. It has everything. If you want more Jurassic World vibe, go to Azores. But Madeira is and should be a tick in the bucketlist
Vienna is not crowdy at all but if you are looking for an alternative have a look at Graz. So beautiful.
The people of Glasgow are so friendly, there are even types of kisses and smiles named after them 🥰
Strongly disagree with Ghent over Brugge. Ghent felt like a busy, corporate, working city, whereas Brugge is a romantic, scenic, and laid back city. Sure Brugge is busy but it's justified, and I'd gladly go back still.
Salerno over Sorrento <3
You only add to unhealthiness and misery of Europe by "staying at an apartment we rent by a local family"🤮🤮🤮 All you ignorant and irresponsible tourists with your short rents brought this SICK situation of rent inflation and homelessness across Europe's cities. Go get informed and then make videos on yt for f…s sake
Best thing about Garmisch is that its only 1 mile away from Austria
Ljubljana is certainly lovely, but it's actually very expensive.
Lovely suggestions, and I agree with most of them. However, Madeira has become remarkably crowded in recent years. It seems to appear on the list of nearly every European outdoor magazine these days, and some of the hiking trails have grown so busy that visitors now have to pay an access fee.
That said, Ljubljana remains one of my absolute favourite cities in Europe — graceful, relaxed, and wonderfully liveable.
where is Dordrecht?
Valencia under the radar? Lol.
From my experience, Barcelona is unnecessary. Paris is beautiful but the food is not tasty. Rome is both beautiful and has excellent food. In any case, Eastern Europe, a safari in Africa, or the Far East is preferable.
Netherlands – try Utrecht. Belgium – Ghent is great, but Antwerp is better for me. Glasgow is way nicer than Edinburgh, which is a bit up itself.
So many places in Brugge to visit where literally not a single tourist comes and these are the best places.
They just don't have any shops or food places. Makes me wonder what tourists actually come for here.
You could make a video in 10 seconds saying don't go on vacation just to capital cities / hot spots / main attractions. Even better if you search Google for weird / strange places. However, Ljubljana is definitely the most popular destination in Slovenia lol, it doesn't fit the logic of the whole video, even though it is certainly a beautiful and nice place.
Bansko, for example, is also MEGA advertised everywhere… soon people from expensive countries will raise the price level of Bansko to the sky… It would be worth taking a train to different parts of Bulgaria without any prejudice, even when train tickets are 10 times cheaper than in Western Europe. Hopefully, the transition to the euro won't raise the price level in Bulgaria, at least not much.
Hahh Madeira… you're right, it's a beautiful island, but unfortunately it has also fallen victim to mass tourism. It's only okay if you go in October-November or during the winter months, otherwise the crowds are a real nightmare.
payeya🤣
Check Poland, such placek like Katowice, Wrocław and Gdańsk ❤
You do realize that telling people to skip Edinburgh for Glasgow means you'll be a public enemy in Edinburgh from now on?
