Who are Kara and Nate?!

2016-2019:

2020-2024:

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.

We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted 😉

So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.

Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this channel to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.

4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to 😉 Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time!

After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time international traveling! And now we are in our 10TH YEAR of finding the best adventures the world has to offer 🙂

We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎 Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

  1. A river cruise safari, what a dream come true. 🤩✨️I hope that you're receiving healthy lifestyle guidance, Kara. It seems from tbese adventure videos that you regularly consume at least 6 items on the epilepsy trigger list: coffee, alcohol, salt, animal protein, chocolate, sugar+. As we all make connections and delightfully aware adjustments, I truly wish you continued beauty and happiest health. 💜🫂🤗🕊

  2. Let me teach you how to pronounce, Botswana( pronounce it like you are calling booo) I'm saying that because when you say Batswana is like you are saying the people of the Botswana country. So hope next time you gonna pronounce it like a pro 😂

  3. I loved doing our safari…. We stayed in a river lodge, and the entire herd came down to the river everyday. 3 of the adults came up the side of the hill right into our back yard and were eating from the tree outside our room. We could have reached out and touched them. So many beautiful animals….greater Kudu, giraffe, black rhinos, elephants, leopards, an entire pride of lions, Cape buffalo, hippos, a group of zebra(also known as a dazzle), wildebeest, impala, springbok, nyala. I could go on and on. But it was beyond any experience i have ever had❤

  4. What a beautiful experience! It does seem a bit close though. I hope there are rangers to protect those conditioned elephants from poaching.
Your top animal sighting list is wonderful. Don't forget the bears.
I have seen most of these too but hope I ca one day see orangutans and gorillas in the wild.

  5. This is hard to watch. Ive done a LOT of these trips but my partner doesnt want to do anything except staying extra safe. Next week we go to Egypt again. I climbed the Great piràmid n giza in 2003 (i bribed the guard $3 to do it and $2 to bring a piece home). This time im going up to the port door and taking everything i can get and hopefully get caught, BC im actually on vscation now and so sick of This boredom. Restaurants, stores! I want adventure
