I realize that these compilation videos cannot provide a comprehensive and accurate description in just a few seconds, but be aware that the visuals for the Skylodge are intermixed with scenes from its neighboring sister facility, the Starlodge. The opening shot shows the Skylodge – the three sleeping pods and a dining facility high on a cliff face, with no metal steps in evidence. Any scenes showing sleeping pods with oval windows and metal steps for access are views of the Starlodge. Starlodge's six pods are much lower on the cliff, although the upper units still likely provide a good sense of exposure. Access to the Starlodge pods involves literally walking up stairs (although you still must be tethered for safety), while the Skylodge demands a truer via ferrata experience. Starlodge facilities include hot tubs at the base. Sleeping pods at both locations are designed to accommodate 4 people – one double bed and two singles, along with a toilet room.
I would love to stay at any one of these places, but I definitely want to try a capsule hotel at least once in my lifetime.
