I have been wanting to take a trip I wish you guys had more information about the good neighbor hotels. I have seen such mixed reviews about them……would someone PLEASE do a ranking of the good neighbor hotels in CA!
I'm excited to go Disneyland this April for my 1st time. I've always wanted to go Disneyland and Disney World.
Disneyland hotels are the best. I know I stayed in all three of them.
Thank you so much for this informative vlog. I wanted to plan a trip to Disneyland in the future and this gives me an idea of how much money to save up so we can plan on staying at their hotels.
Thanks, as always AJ, for the great information well presented.
I was practically raised in the Grand Californian. I always really loved the Downtown Disney view. It’s just the coziest place to be really.
Does anybody know when I can start booking rooms at Disneyland hotel for summer of 2026???
these hotels are MUCH BETTER than disneyworld. I was so disappointed when i saw the disneyworld hotels.
we are going to the Disneyland hotel for my 16th bday!! I'm sooo excited
On June 28, 2022; Me And My Beautiful Asian Soulmate (Maya-Minnie-Chu) Finally Got Married At The Disneyland Resort In Anaheim, California; Where She Grew Up At.
My favorite Good Neighbor hotel is the Anaheim Majestic Gardens 🙂 It's themed to a fairytale princess story so still kinda has that Disney vibe + it has direct shuttle access!
I'm confused on my situation a little. So i'm planing a disney trip for my family on May 13 and 14th (Monday and Tuesday). I'm planning on staying at the disneyland hotel and since we are going to the parks on monday and tuesday. In order to get early entry could we check in on sunday night (maybe past midnight?) sleep then be ready for early entry monday? I live 2 hours away from disney and its alot of traffic and dont really know how to arrive on time without being sleep deprived. I dont wanna buy an extra hotel day in case we dont really use it enough
A question for you and everybody following this channel. I am planning a Disney vacation around end of September early October. We went to DisneyWorld a couple of years ago, would like to go to Disneyland this time ( it does have a few things DW doesn't have). I'm stymied on the best hotel and transportation. We would prefer to stay and A Disney hotel but I know that they are only 3 and they are a bit pricey. Recommendations on a good moderate hotel with a shuttle to the parks ( I know there will be a fee probably) Now another issue is transportation from the airport. I know LAX is a bit far, I really don't want to rent a car, but I'm considering it. I was looking into coming in from Orange County airport, how are Uber prices coming from there to the Disney resort area? I checked shuttles from that airport but it is with hotels 10 miles plus from Disney. I have found a good deal going back to DisneyWorld, but I am still looking on making the trip to Disneyland. either way gonna book one by the end of the week. Need some guidance on the questions above to help with my decision.
0:05. Sigh, I miss you Steakhouse 55. CURSE YOU COVID!!!
I wish you had done one hotel at a time and all their perks not jumped all over the place. = ( Thanks for the tips tho.
We are headed to Disneyland soon, hotels were the hardest aspect of the whole trip. I don’t under why all the Disney hotels are soooo expensive and the good neighbor hotels look sooooo sketchy 🫣 wish they had hotels like the all stars in Disneyland! Even if they weren’t right there near the property but like 15min away… a 15min bus ride wouldn’t be so bad since some of the resorts take that long in WDW too.
Wonderful to see some Disneyland love
Other than to just say that I’ve gone, I honestly cannot see any reason to fly out to California when Disney World is three hours away. Maybe I’m missing something.
Given the nature of Disneyland's more tightly built resort area compared to WDW, you'll find yourself going back to your hotel in the middle of the day to escape the heat or the crowds, and because it's easy to walk to or take a five minute uber to your hotel. Also because of only having two parks, you may stay a shorter visit compared to WDW and allot less time to relaxation away from the parks. It's very important you get a great hotel that meets this need.. the Grand Californian meets every expectation for this but staying there for a week can put you out 6,000. Search wisely for your hotel!
Just got back from a Disneyland trip a few days ago. We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel, third time doing so. I have also stayed at a good neighborhood hotel before. The Disneyland Hotel can be a bit of a further walk than a few of the good neighbors hotels. However, the ambiance and quality of the rooms, staff, early park access, and food options and access (e.g. early and late night room service) make it worth it. One thing I will say, is the Goofy’s kitchen for dinner is not worth it right now, breakfast, yes, do it, but not dinner. We even noticed that a few nights of our trip you could gat same day dinning reservations for dinner, at peak times…this was not possible with any other dinning option we looked at, typically not a good sign.
Discovery Tower
Wait, did early entry change? We stayed at Disneyland hotel at the end of September and both parks had early entry every day.
Any good prices at all around for Hotels.
Just got back from my trip. Trader Sam’s is AMAZING! Some of the best ramen I’ve ever had. Even the room service, while expensive, was really great.
Staying at the Big Thunder Suite in December for my ride or die buddy’s 12th birthday.
I wish you had gone through the good neighbor hotels in more detail. Unlike Disney world, there are no budget hotel options at Disneyland. They are all deluxe level prices. As such many of us opt for the the 3rd party hotels across the street. Some of them are even closer to the entrance than Disneyland's own resorts!
Disneyland looks like a dream 😍 the thought of being able to walk to the parks … mind blown 🤯
I’ve been waiting for this!!! Thanks AJ!
I won’t go to Disneyland if I can’t stay at the Disneyland Hotel. It’s the perfect duo!
We have only ever been to Disney World. I am so interested in Disneyland and I would love to learn more about it. There is just so much info about Disney World it seems easier to navigate than Disneyland as an out of towner. Hoping for more guides and info from you about Disneyland in the months to come! 👍🏻👏🏻
If you’re looking for a nice Good Neighbor hotel, i can’t recommend Candy Cane Inn enough!
I'm debating between a one bedroom villa at the Disneyland hotel villas and a club level preferred view room at grand Californian. The location and direct entry to dca is tempting but the new villas look so nice. Any thoughts?
if you a true disney fan like this comment
so glad i stayed across the street when we did our one-time disneyland trip. So much cheaper and closer walking than the disneyland hotel.
We stayed in the fairytale suite at the Disneyland Hotel for our honeymoon and I….. almost flooded it…. I mean…How am I supposed to know how an indoor hot tub works?
Glad to see the Anaheim property get a little love and attention! Could DFBGuide do a guide for the Disneyland good neighbor hotels? I know its a lot, but would be a good long term project. Only about 100 small hotels around the property 😉
