I think it would have been more helpful to highlight Philly's walkability, citing walking distances to sites vs driving. Also helpful to mention public transport from the hotels to the airport.
This video just came up in my feed. I'm a lifetime Center City Philly resident. So the only hotel I disagree with on your list would be the Downtown Marriott. It's just a big, boring standard convention hotel – great location if you are attending a convention in Philly, but otherwise you can do SO much better than this hotel. Two alternatives you should have considered: The Logan on the Parkway, which previously was The Four Seasons, till they moved to the Comcast building, and the W Hotel on Chestnut Street – a very new property with stunning views.
I used to work at the Ritz Carlton and you are absolutely right the elegance and the luxury is amazing. I had to literally learn the credo that our bosses would make us say on the spot or face disciplinary action. The credo is We are ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen.
