The Melt has opened its first airport restaurant at San Francisco International Airport’s Harvey Milk Terminal 1.

The location, which opened July 8, is the San Francisco-based fast-casual chain’s 24th restaurant. It features exclusive menu items, including the Breakfast MeltBurger with a fried egg and bacon, and the Harvey Milkshake, a vanilla shake topped with rainbow sprinkles, available year-round at the airport. Proceeds from the shake will benefit Equality California.

The airport opening follows a strong 2025 for The Melt, which reported $58.2 million in revenue and 4.6% comparable sales growth.

The brand plans to operate 30 locations across Arizona and California by the end of the year. Earlier this year, the company hired Greg Vojnovic as head of franchising to support its growth and is seeking multi-unit franchise operators.
