  1. Actually, I can mention Bosnia-Herzegovina and Macedonia (Greeks will hate me but I learned it as Macedonia at school) as really cheap countries, and both Sarajevo and Skopje are good places for a long weekend or for even more if we travel to the countryside as well. And adding some more to the relatively cheap ones from the video, I can recommend Polish cities (I was already in Krakow, Warsaw and Lublin from the bigger cities but Wroclaw and Poznan are also on my bucket list) and Budapest (I live here and the Danube coast is beautiful).

  2. When ever in Riga, Latvia, I always stay at the Hotel Viktorija, a grand Art Nouveau building, centrally located, a bit run down and in need of some TLC, but the prices for staying there are an absolute steal! The last time I visited was in May of this year, and guess what a room with double bed cost for a night? 37 Euros. Thirty seven, you read correctly.

  3. I went to Prague 3 weeks ago for my first ever visit, I couldn’t believe how great a city it is. For me it’s the best city I have ever visited, yes it’s busy but it’s busy for a reason. It’s so cheap compared to England, I went into a bar, 3 beers and 3 large glasses of wine for £16.00 after currency conversion !!!! wow. I pay about £12.00 for 2 drinks in England. Prague is so good I’m going back next year.

  4. You have a great channel, probably one of the best travel focused ones I’ve seen! No intro with music 👍 and right to the point. And you pack so much useful information in quickly vice stringing us along. I’m sharing you with all my friends!

  5. Porto has the bookstore JK Rowling wrote Harry Potter in. It’s cool but very crowded. If you get tickets order on line & get in line and they’ll call you ahead if you already have tickets-

Also next to bookstore is some of the best gelato in Portugal! The line goes quick. Across from bookstore & gelato loja is the Universidade – at night the young women students sing and dance in the cobblestone square on their campus. They are wearing the robes that inspired the robes of the Harry Potter series.
5 minutes from there is a really cool park with neat statues.

Take the trolly to Montichinos (sp) – eat lunch and sit on beach.

Porto is super cool city – as Wolters said walk the bridge to Gaia and take the boat on the Tagus River (or is it Douro?) always get those rivers mixed up lol

There is a super fast Amtrak to Lisbon too! Don’t miss Pink Street !

    Portugal is lovely!!

  6. First of all, I really enjoy your videos, and your advice is super helpful. I am surprised that no city in Poland made your list. Although prices in Poland have increased a lot in recent years, it is still a good bargain and a great place to visit. One city off the beaten path is Lodz – very inexpensive, uncrowded, and quite interesting. It's also fast and easy to reach from Warsaw – probably a one-hour train ride.
