NEWTON, Massachusetts—Sonesta International Hotels announced significant portfolio expansion during the first half of 2026, with 22 new hotel openings and the execution of 28 new franchise agreements.

The company’s ongoing momentum is further reinforced by 28 new franchise executions spanning several brands, including Signature Inn by Sonesta, Americas Best Value Inn by Sonesta, Sonesta Essential Hotels, and Red Lion Inn & Suites by Sonesta.
