Premium Taiwanese airline Starlux Airlines has just released a large number of lie-flat award seats to partner program Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards.

While Starlux has been a savvy way to redeem Atmos Rewards points for flights to Asia for several years now, the cheapest saver-level availability has been difficult to find.

Here’s what you need to know to easily book one of Asia’s best business-class products with points and miles.

Atmos Rewards charges 75,000 points for the Starlux business-class flight from LAX, SFO, ONT and SEA to TPE and 85,000 points for the slightly longer flight from PHX.

TPG’s Clint Henderson is a big fan of Starlux’s business-class product.

“I had a blast checking out a fairly new airline and its luxurious business-class product,” he said when reviewing a Starlux flight between LAX and TPE in 2024. “I had equally good service and soft products on the return from Taipei to Los Angeles. Both of my flights went by too quickly. I was thrilled with my Starlux flight and would happily fly it again.”

Here’s an example of the great pricing for a round-trip business-class itinerary from SFO in May 2027.

ATMOS REWARDS

Starlux is not part of a major airline alliance like Oneworld, so Atmos Rewards points are the most practical way to book its business-class cabin. You can transfer Bilt Points to Atmos Rewards at a 1:1 rate.

If you have flexible travel dates and just want the most dates at the lowest prices, consider using the handy Seats.aero tool to find availability.

Bottom line

Wide-open business-class availability across the Pacific does not come around often, and Starlux’s suites, with their sliding privacy doors, multicourse dinner service and pajamas for the overnight legs, make for a very comfortable journey to Asia.

If you have been sitting on a stash of Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards points (or have Bilt points ready), this is the moment to put them to use.

Just don’t wait too long to search because availability like this tends to disappear as fast as it appears.
