ORLANDO, Florida—Rosen Hotels & Resorts (RHR) announced that an extensive renovation is underway involving two of its largest hotels, Rosen Plaza and Rosen Shingle Creek. The project, which is the most significant renovation in the company’s 52-year history, involves redesigning 2,300 guestrooms, suites, and corridors at both hotels, in addition to upgrades within Rosen Shingle Creek’s 524,000 square feet of event space.
This project reimagines every hallway and guestroom from floor to ceiling. Conceptualized and driven by RHR’s in-house design team, this revitalization will total more than $150 million once complete in the fall of 2026 for Rosen Plaza and in 2027 for Rosen Shingle Creek, the company’s flagship property.
Rosen Shingle Creek
The renovations at Rosen Shingle Creek blend modern design and amenities with Mediterranean Revival influences. The new rooms are fashioned with warm tones, rich walnut, and curated artwork to create a layered experience. Custom furnishings have been added to the rooms as well.
Sculptural lighting, crafted millwork, and stone finishes enhance RHR’s aesthetic direction. Windows frame views of the landscape, bringing natural light into the guestrooms. Spa-inspired bathrooms include bespoke amenities, glass-enclosed walk-in showers, oil-rubbed bronze fixtures, Italian travertine, and multi-functional shower systems. Next-generation WiFi and integrated smart-room technology deliver a more connected experience for business executives and guests alike. Parking facilities will also be upgraded to improve traffic flow, accessibility, and the overall guest experience.
Rosen Plaza
Rosen Plaza, founder Harris Rosen’s first convention hotel, located in Orlando’s convention district, will undergo reimagining, intentionally planned to improve the guest experience. Each room has intuitive layouts, tailored furnishings, and enhanced technology. The neutral palette includes earthy hues and calm greens. Flexible, multi-use spaces support work, rest, and relaxation. Bathrooms include walk-in showers, custom amenities, speckled terrazzo flooring, and Zellige-inspired wall tiles.
Statements From Leadership

It’s simply amazing, and I know Harris Rosen, our late founder, would be proud.”
“The best experiences start with strong concepts rooted in design, storytelling and atmosphere,” said Jack Rosen, manager of design and brand strategies for Rosen Hotels & Resorts. “We’re bringing each property’s unique story to life, creating immersive environments that spark connection, evoke emotion and reflect the local culture, all thoughtfully reimagined for the next generation of travelers.”
“When we started visualizing this massive project, we set out to recreate what a hotel room could be, and the result is a blend of contemporary elegance and true hospitality warmth,” said Dan Giordano, vice president of corporate planning and development at Rosen Hotels & Resorts. “I know our guests will notice the difference the moment they open the door. They’ll notice everything from brighter spaces and richer materials to a sense of calm that carries through every corner. There is no doubt in my mind that, once complete, these rooms will set the standard in Orlando and the hospitality industry as a whole.”
