Walking into Rock Cut Brewery in Estes Park, you immediately feel the mix of energy and warmth that comes from a place built around good beer and good people. Owner Matt Heiser—an engineer by trade with a background in hospitality—turned a passion project into one of Colorado’s favorite mountain-town breweries.

Ten years ago, Matt traded spreadsheets for brewing sheets, chasing a dream that’s since become a cornerstone of the Estes Park craft beer scene. Today, Rock Cut Brewery is more than a place to grab a pint—it’s a gathering spot where every glass has a story and every seat feels like it belongs to you.

A Team That Feels Like Family

Ask Matt what sets Rock Cut apart from other Colorado breweries, and he won’t mention equipment or awards—he’ll point to his people. His collaborator, Kate, and the rest of the crew operate more like family than staff. They brew together, taste together, and bring a sense of camaraderie to every batch.

That mix of expertise and playfulness shows up in their beer. Each recipe is shaped by both craft and curiosity, resulting in brews with high standards and a laid-back vibe.
