Road Trip to Goodsprings: Lunch & Legends 20 Minutes from Vegas

Related Articles

LVIO is taking you on a road trip this time around – to an almost ghost town just a few miles south of the excitement of Las Vegas. It’s a tiny mining settlement called Goodsprings, which happens to be home to the oldest bar in Southern Nevada, the famous Pioneer Saloon. We are heading there on a windy and blustery day, for lunch, scenery, and a whole bunch of great local history. One of those true stories involves famous actor Clark Gable and his wife Carole Lombard.

And on the way back, we’ll stop into the world’s largest Chevron gas station, the huge Terrible’s at the Interstate 15/Jean exit. It’s a great time, c’mon along for the ride!

  1. Thank you so much for all the Goodsprings info–I had no idea about the trails in the area. I will have to go hike on them! And I enjoy your videos so much because of your humor and laidback style! I think maybe your future outlook from Voltar depends on how much money you give him, lol! If you give him enough money you might end up with eternal bliss! 😉

  2. I’m not going to hate on the large chevron gas station
But come on down to Texas and visit one of our numerous Buc-ee's and you will be more impressed lol ( EVER-THINGS BIG IN TEXAS )

Love the road trip and the hot dog looked amazing

  3. Ah yes, another out of town video … my favorite. This was very entertaining and quite the original place you visited. I love these treasures located outside Vegas and they sure are fun to see. Thanks for taking us on a tour of the place. Keep up these great videos and can't wait to see your production of inside Terribles.

  4. Your road trip videos are my all time favorites!! It’s so exciting to see all of the history and the incredible scenery. When all you’ve ever seen of Nevada is the strip, it’s amazing to see how different (and beautiful) all of the areas outside of Las Vegas truly are! Thank you for exposing us to these incredible places in Nevada! Your videos are all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  5. Great video! I like the camera comparison shots. I'm sure Paula likes the DJI better when on the go by herself. When I saw her get one I got one! I was on the fence about if I could be tech savvy enough. Paula showed me it can be done! I can't wait to bring it to Vegas this week and use it to hold memories!😊

  6. What a wonderful video 👏👏
Seeing such history ( especially about Carol Lombard) just goes to show what is within easy reach of Las Vegas but is so often missed.
Thank you for producing such relaxing content – keep up the excellent work ❤️❤️

  7. Yet another great video to add to the collection. As well as seeing new areas that we haven’t visited, we love the history lessons that we get when you’re out and about at these old towns. Thanks guys, amazing as always ❤

  8. Oh Paula and Dell, living in Tucson, I can thoroughly agree with you: the desert wind, when it's going, is totally different than any type of wind I've ever experienced. I love the road trips as you well know and find this adventure, something that maybe jacob and I will do this summer. Well my friends another excellent job.

    Russell in Tucson, AZ
