A Dazzling Centerpiece Returns

The 36-foot Pixel Pine Tree will once again light up Bond Park starting November 22, enchanting visitors with a dazzling light show set to classic holiday music. What made headlines last year is growing into something even more spectacular: a new festive lighted walking trail that extends from the Visitor Center to Tregent Park, guiding guests past shops, restaurants, and the iconic water wheel on the west end of town. With nightly shows running through the New Year, the pixel pine tree has quickly become one of Estes Park’s must-see holiday traditions and the perfect starting point for exploring

Christmas in the Rockies. After the pixel pine tree lights up Bond Park, the holiday magic keeps building with Estes Park’s signature seasonal celebrations.

Light up the Holiday Season

The festivities begin November 22 with Estes Park’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in Bond Park. Families can meet Santa, enjoy holiday craft kits, and take in horse-drawn wagon rides—all for free. As the tree sparkles to life, the park becomes the perfect backdrop for sipping hot cocoa, sharing cookies, and soaking up small-town holiday charm.

Just a few days later, the excitement grows with Estes Park’s beloved Catch the Glow Parade on November 28. Thousands gather along Elkhorn Avenue to watch more than 40 illuminated floats, marching bands, and festive vehicles roll through downtown, capped off by a visit from Santa himself.

The holiday spirit continues November 29 at the Estes Park Holiday Wine Fest, where guests 21+ can sample pours from Colorado wineries, savor food pairings, and even snap a selfie with Santa. Admission includes a commemorative wine glass, a tote, and unlimited tastings—making it a must for anyone who loves pairing holiday cheer with a good glass of red (or white).

Sleigh the Games: A New Holiday Tradition

This December, Estes Park is unwrapping something brand new: Sleigh the Games, a three-day holiday adventure festival happening December 12–14, 2025, at the Estes Park Events Complex. Packed with festive activities, live entertainment, seasonal eats, and plenty of holiday cheer, it’s the perfect way to experience Christmas in the Rockies.

If you’re planning to make a weekend of it, check out Estes Park’s cozy cabins, family-friendly lodges, or downtown stays that keep you close to all the action. Whether it’s sipping cocoa fireside or waking up to snow-dusted mountain views, the right stay makes the festival even more memorable.

The Sweetest Finale: Sweets Stroll

To wrap up the weekend, the beloved Sweets Stroll returns on Sunday, December 14, as the grand finale of Sleigh the Games. This community favorite invites visitors to wander downtown, collecting treats from local candy shops and small businesses along the way. To join in, simply pick up a punch card at the Visitor Center or at Sleigh the Games. Each participating stop will stamp your card as you sample sweets—making it both a fun keepsake and your ticket to a sugar-filled stroll through Estes Park.

With Sleigh the Games and the Sweets Stroll now linked together, Estes Park is ready to deliver one of the most exciting holiday weekends in Colorado—full of festive lights, sweet bites, and plenty of reasons to gather the whole family for a mountain-town getaway.
