  1. Kentuckian here: Just wondering why, out of all those beautiful homes you bragged on so lavishly, did you choose to put the picture of the one who ‘could use some paint’, in your words? Ain’t gonna lie ….. that kind of pissed me off.

  2. My comment may be a little late. I have a medical condition that I went for check up a day before and was cleared by my Dr. and ended in the emergency room had to be admitted for a week. After I was finally cleared. I asked y Dr. why he couldn't catch the crisis. He said the truth is We Doctors are not to sure of what we do. We just try and hope it will be the best treatment. I am glad you are okay and wish you good health. You videos is showing me a lot of places I know I may never visit. (I do not travel to much) may the Lord touch and give you good health. Than you

  3. Please take me seriously when I give you this simple tip. Blow into a straw with your finger closing the end. You'll feel your BP start to drop immediately. Keep up the great videos, I've enjoyed touring the country with you. Thank you for showing the desolation of so many American small towns, maybe we can start to reverse the trend.

  4. Be well! Some decongestants can cause blood pressure to increase. Watch those.

You were in Harrodsburg. I wish you had stopped at Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill just outside of town. It is a well-preserved historic Shaker Village, where some of the buildings have been converted to motel rooms, so you can stay right on the property. It is a working farm. I go there every few years for a Tolkien-themed event. It is a peaceful place.

  5. Joe,

Have a Doc check your adrenal glands. My guy pal had a small tumor on one which would make his BP jump as well. He finally got a diagnosis, but not before he was on 5 BP meds as well as potassium. The tumor would cause his sodium level to increase, his potassium level to decrease. It took an endocrinologist to find it on a MRI. He had had it for 10 years, the Radiologist didn't know what he was looking at and so he suffered for awhile. These can be rare, but they do happen. Good luck!

  6. Did you eat any high salt fast food? I never eat fast food but it runs my blood pressure up. If you are trying to run a tight schedule it can cause a severe spike of blood pressure. It resulted in me having a detached retina about 15 years ago.

  7. Well I'll shine my Dark Cloud once again! Liquor in crappy Hotel food or restaurant eating will definitely do that. Or else somebody slipped you a little bit of arsenic in your food! But I digress because that's just the way I think I don't really trust restaurants anymore and I think everything related to our health starts in the gut so what you eat is what you manifest outwardly glad you're back on track.

  8. Glad you’re doing better. I wonder if a bad sleep apnea event could stress the body out enough to elevate BP? Seems like it would come down quicker than it did tho? Thanks for sharing your adventures Joe!
