Today I’m journeying away from Kenya’s beaten tourist path to two underrated safari destinations: Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha. I want to find out if they deserve a place on your Kenya safari itinerary.

We'll be doing a version of this next summer, also staying with Sopa lodges. I can't wait!!!
Nice content how about mini bar 🍸
I visited Lake Naivasha in 2008. At that time the concern was that too much water was being extracted from the Lake and the levels were getting low. We were able to drive to Crescent Island.
beautiful content
Hey! What’s the set up you are using to rig your tripod to the jeep? Thanks!!

Hi! What did you film with?
How much ?
Sad that a rare giraffe found in Kenya and Uganda is named after a 'wherever the f**k he's from Zionist. SAD!!!!!!!!!
Such a great video! Thank you! If i only had time for one of the lakes, which one would you recommend?

I really enjoy your videos — thank you for all the great tips!
We’re a family with two young children, and we’ll be visiting Kenya soon. We only have 3 days to spare and we're hesitating between Naivasha and Nakuru. If you had to choose just one, which would you recommend for a family trip?
Thanks so much in advance!

I visited both parks in 2014 and loved both for the reasons you mentioned. I was amazed to see the changes to Lake Navishu caused by climate change. In 2014 it was Lake Nakuru that was flooded. You videos are fantastic.
Excellently captured the nature and its wonders ❤
do you recommend Lake Nakuru for a first timer who's never been to Africa?
If it was in india
The horn of rhino would have cut off by the smugglers

Domestic animals are seen around these animals and they are not a danger to the people
Great vid Ella! I'm looking for a destination before flying to the Mara for 4 nights in a conservancy and with the lakes being close to Nairobi it's great timing to see this video. If I could only do one of these for a day trip which would you suggest?
Came across your lovely videos randomly cant stop watching 👌 @Ella MCKendrick
Great video and great to see these places!
I visited both in February (wonderful places, not being hugely busy was great too). My friend who had visited Nakuru 15 or so years ago said the numbers of flamingos had dropped hugely from then, though apparently they have been displaced to other soda lakes rather than the population having reduced (which is something). There were far more pelicans than he had previously seen though.
We also saw hyena pups, just coming out the den (possibly the same ones you did) Got some lovely photos too. Thay can get a bad rep, but they are wonderful (and beautiful) animals! Great place.
Lake Naivasha was also a place I'd wanted to visit since childhood. I locved it. And a boat trip is hard to beat whenever you're watching wildlife. Hippos outside the lodge at night was also quite the sight!
Was in Kenya for 10 days 11-20 May, Lake Nakuru, Naivasha, Amboselli and of course Masai Mara were incredible. Unfortunately due to rain and high grass we couldn't spot a single leopard. However did see both white and black rhinos including one mum n baby that blocked our road for 40 minutes. Saw a mum cheetah with 4 grown cubs bring down a gazelle in the second attempt. Also saw the rare serval and even rarer black serval. Also saw a herd of 8 hippos grazing in the open in daytime, including a mum n her calf.
EXCELLENT COLLECTION. Thanks
New sub here 👍🎉
Can I join with You
Beautiful and blissful! What a safari!
Note -Lion (male)
-Lioness (female)..
It's not right to say MALE LION , it's enough to say a LION.
Hi im panjab moga tu sonu sood actar sity
Lake Naivasha completely dried up into a dust bowl in the 1890s and again in the 1940s and 50s, it was so dry, people could walk right across. The lake seems to go through a natural cycle of expanding and shrinking.
Nice camera! #Lumix_Gang ❤
拍的太好了4k画质❤
Thank you for visiting and showcasing my home county,Nakuru county. Both L.Nakuru and L.Naivasha are in Nakuru county.Am a kenyan in UK🇬🇧 but from Nakuru🇰🇪🎉🎉❤
