  1. Poor in money, rich in character. I was an out of stater that got lost before in West Virginia looking for a coal mine tour. I stopped at a small shop in the middle of nowhere. A customer was listening as I asked for directions and then suddenly says follow him, he knew where it was and could get me there. What he didn’t tell me is that it was 40 minutes of slow backroads driving away. I was totally far away from the mine. Once we got there, he just waved and said enjoy then drove off. Talk about an outstanding person. And everyone I encountered in West Virginia was just as kind and warm. Don’t bash the people by material possessions, they deserve respect.

  2. We must understand Walmart and Dollar General don’t destroy towns… the people choose to spend their money there to the point smaller businesses cannot survive. The trick is to keep these type of stores out of your community and work to support the smaller businesses to keep more money local. However, it is extremely difficult to influence other people’s spending. Internet is another challenge which ships out the dollars too. When the Walmart can’t survive due to low volumes… the small businesses are ALREADY GONE.

  3. Please don't whine. If I show you how the Russian countryside lives, you'll be shocked. It's a place of extreme poverty, broken roads, and a world that resembles the post-war era. Even in the video, the poverty is evident, but it's not as dire as it could be.

  4. Kinda reminds me of Red Dead Redemption game when you’re walking through the old towns except there were actually people in the game and not a ghost town. I actually like the ghost town feel. You just get what you need and go home.

  5. The term "3rd World" in your title isn't correct, not even metaphorically. Have you seen videos of people walking/driving through actual 3rd world countries? There's trash everywhere, cops on motorcycles will detain you for filming (even if you have correct papers from the government) and will demand $50 from you unless you want to get arrested for the day…downed power lines, trash in the rivers, trash in the street and sidewalks, crumbling buildings, corrugated metal roof shacks instead of single family homes, very few automobiles, distant gunshots, kidnappings in broad daylight. I saw NONE of that in this video. I saw older but well-kept buildings, clean, maintained sidewalks, quite nice vehicles, almost perfectly paved roads and bridges, no one tried to kill you for your phone, etc. Lose the title, dude.
