Chase-to-Marriott transfer ratio
The Chase-to-Marriott transfer ratio is 1:1. You can only transfer points from Chase to Marriott in increments of 1,000, though.
TPG’s January 2026 valuations value 1,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points at $20.50 and 1,000 Marriott Bonvoy points at $7. Transferable points are inherently worth more than any individual currency you can convert them to, but Chase points are almost three times as valuable as Marriott points by our estimation.

Chase occasionally offers transfer bonuses for select transfer partners. These transfer bonuses are relatively rare, however, and we don’t recommend transferring points speculatively unless you have a specific, imminent redemption coming up.

When should you transfer Chase points to Marriott Bonvoy?
Now that you know how to transfer Chase points to Marriott Bonvoy, the question becomes: When should you transfer Chase points to Marriott?
As discussed above, Marriott Bonvoy isn’t the most valuable Chase transfer partner. Therefore, if you have a limited number of Chase Ultimate Rewards points, you may want to save them for higher-value Chase transfer partners. After all, you can still purchase Marriott points at relatively low rates during the program’s frequent sales or book paid stays. And, even if you want to redeem Chase points for a Marriott stay, you may get a better value for your points when redeeming them for a paid stay booked through Chase Travelâ„ instead of transferring them to Marriott.

However, you may want to transfer Chase points to Marriott to secure a high-value Marriott Bonvoy redemption, book a “Stay for 5, Pay for 4” stay or top off your account for a redemption. And, keep in mind that you can transfer Marriott points to select airline programs, including some with rewards that are otherwise difficult to earn.
It’s best to only transfer Chase points to Marriott shortly before you plan to redeem them. After all, Marriott Bonvoy employs dynamic award pricing, so award rates and availability are subject to change at any time.

Bottom line
It’s easy to transfer Chase points to Marriott Bonvoy. However, Marriott Bonvoy isn’t the most valuable Chase transfer partner, as its rewards are less valuable than those of partners like World of Hyatt, United MileagePlus and Air Canada Aeroplan.
So, unless you have more Chase Ultimate Rewards points than you can use, you’re transferring to book a high-value redemption or you need to top off your Marriott account by a few thousand points, you’ll usually want to utilize other transfer partners when redeeming your Chase points.
