How Marriott Bonvoy Moments can unlock memorable experiences

Marriott is most well known as one of the biggest hotel companies on the planet, with a portfolio that boasts over 9,000 properties across 38 brands in nearly 150 different countries. The chain’s loyalty program — Marriott Bonvoy — gives you plenty of ways to earn and redeem points for stays around the globe.

However, you may want to look beyond just free nights when burning your Bonvoy points. If you’re in the market for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, that could be just one Marriott redemption away thanks to the Marriott Bonvoy Moments platform.

Last month, I had the chance to cheer on the U.S. men’s national soccer team as part of Marriott’s sponsorship of the World Cup — and even though the tournament is coming to and end soon, I saw firsthand just how valuable the Moments platform can be.

Here’s why you should look at redeeming your points for a Marriott Bonvoy Moments package.

Overview of Marriott Bonvoy Moments

If you’re not familiar, the Marriott Bonvoy Moments platform offers a variety of curated packages you can book with your Marriott points, covering culinary, entertainment, sports, art and lifestyle experiences.

These typically fall into three categories:

  • Fixed-point redemptions: These packages are available for a set number of points.
  • Live auctions: These packages allow members to bid a set number of points, with the highest bidder winning the package when bidding closes.
  • 1-point drops: These are limited packages available for just one Marriott point.

In some cases, it’s a combination.

For example, on July 28, at 11:00 a.m. Central Time, the platform will launch a new package with a private Myles Smith performance in New York City. There will be 100 packages available at one point, while eight will be auctioned off.

Select packages are exclusive to Ambassador Elite members, while some during the World Cup were limited to Chase Marriott Visa cardholders — including the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card (see rates and fees).

My experience at this year’s World Cup

Even though the World Cup is almost over, Marriott offered dozens of packages across the 100+ games of the event — and I was fortunate enough to take in the U.S.-Australia game in Seattle, including a two-night stay at the CitizenM Pioneer Square. This unconventional brand was integrated into Marriott Bonvoy in late 2025, but it made the ideal spot to attend the game at Seattle Stadium (or Lumen Field, outside the World Cup).

The seats that were part of Marriott’s package were in the lower level and offered a great view of the field — and were perfect to see the pair of first-half goals the U.S. scored.

The energy in the stadium was electric, and it was incredible to think that earning Marriott points via hotel stays (or credit card spending) could unlock such an experience.

Examples of current (and upcoming) packages

So, what are some of the current packages available to Marriott Bonvoy members? As you’d expect, these rotate relatively quickly, but here’s a snapshot of those you can pick up (or bid on) right now.

Curated beverage experiences

One of the newest additions to the platform is a selection of beverage tastings across the globe, some of which include transportation and even stays in nearby Marriott properties. You can ride the bullet train to sip sake in Japan, taste Buffalo Trace bourbon in Kentucky or indulge in Champagne from Taittinger in Reims, France. There are even pasta-making classes in the test kitchen at Marriott’s headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland.

At the time of writing, current bids on these packages are as low as 50,000 points.

Luxury suites at top concerts

Marriott has partnerships with some of the world’s top concert venues, even offering luxury suites to enjoy select shows in comfort. Right now, you can snag a pair of tickets to see Megan Moroney or Benson Boone at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, or even catch Ariana Grande at The O2 in London, England.

There are even packages to catch Celine Dion in Paris this fall — some of which include a stay at a Marriott property in the City of Lights.

Current prices for these packages start at just 50,000 points at the time of writing.

High-end culinary packages

There are also a variety of current (and future) packages centered around high-end culinary experiences. You can enjoy a gastronony adventure in Kyoto (with a stay at the Ritz-Carlton Kyoto) or indulge in a tasting menu at Michelin-starred Joel Robuchon in Las Vegas — followed by tickets to KA, a Cirque du Soleil show, and a stay at the MGM Grand.

Upcoming Formula 1 releases

For any F1 fans, mark your calendars, because a handful of exciting packages are coming in the next few weeks. The Dutch Grand Prix comes first, with four packages launching on Monday, July 20. Then there are seven packages for the Madrid Grand Prix that’ll go live on Monday, August 10.

Bottom line

Marriott Bonvoy offers much more value beyond free nights in its global portfolio of hotels. With the Marriott Bonvoy Moments platform, travelers can unlock some incredible redemptions — whether it’s a concert, sporting event, culinary experience or more. And I was fortunate enough to experience this firsthand at the 2026 World Cup.

As the throng of U.S. fans sang along to “Take Me Home, Country Roads” at the end of a hard-fought victory over Australia, it was pretty special to realize that such a memory was made possible by a hotel loyalty program.
