Stayed at Art of Animation. Wasn’t a fan of felt dingy

I have my 2 and a half year old daughter’s first Disney World trip being planned by my mother (DVC Member) and I’m split between Animal Kingdom Lodge, Beach Club and Copper Creek for next April.

I’m leaning to Animal Kingdom Lodge, but also think Copper Creek is better since it’s closer to Magic Kingdom. I’m literally splitting hairs over this 🤣

I actually got a good hotel this time because of you thank you. My kids enjoyed it too.

My first hotel that I stayed at was Art of Animation Lion King Family Suite with my dad, stepmom and two little sisters. I slept on the table murphy bed.

The WATER PARK PERK… IS WORTH THE 2 NIGHT

Our favorite was always Coronado springs! We never felt like it wasn't a kids resort. The convention center is not really a part of where you spend your time, and the lobby is very kid friendly along with the rest of the hotel. It is massive though so there is that if it bothers you to have a huge resort….. We love it there!

For staying at Coronado Springs you don't always need to book in the tower. Choosing a prefered room gets you in a casita close the tower and it's bus stop, which makes it a better price with the same transportation benefits of first pick up and drop off for buses.

I had a recent trip and we stayed at Port Orleans FQ. I was surprised it didn’t make the list. Close proximity to Epcot and the Sassagoula boats to Springs is a great option and the pool theme is the best, and you can pool hop over to Riverside as well.

Do single adults and why Coronado Springs is the best.

We took the cabins off our list for this yr. cuz they're basically one bedroom DVCs but no washer dryer inside the cabin. We're going from WDW to a Disney cruise so I want to be able to wash our bathing suits in a machine, not just rinse them in the shower or sink, and I only do laundry if we have a washer dryer in the room 🤣🤣

I’ve found the Wilderness Lodge is an outstanding option for families. We loved the villas at BOULDER Ridge.

Could you request a microwave for an all star resort ?

Our family finds it really hard to justify going without renting DVC points. We stayed for a week in a 2 bedroom at animal kingdom for $630/night May 2024, and were going back again to stay 8 nights at Boardwalk for under $300/night. Even with discounts, Disneys direct pricing rarely competes with the deals you can get renting others points and you’re getting all the deluxe benefits! ❤ the resort videos, they’re always my favorite to watch!

We went with Wilderness Lodge for our group. We have age 2 to 70 🤣 so we thought there’d be something for everyone to enjoy! AoA looks so fun though. Might have to go visit

Maybe I should stay at arts of animation resort for 5 days and 8 days at port orleans riverside resort.

For families with little kids, I think being close to the magic Kingdom is super important for a nap! I vote wilderness Lodge based on its better pricing!

Older kids might like the ability to use the Skyliner for Hollywood Studios or Epcot. In that case, I would go with beach club because of the fantastic pool! 🎉

My family and I have stayed at wilderness lodge for 18 Disney trips with our kids. It definitely is our favorite out of all the hotels we have stayed in. We will be staying there again in May. The Boats are a great way to get to the magic kingdom.

What about port Orleans?

Back in Sept we were booked @ All Star Sports ($154 including tx) but 2 wks b4 our trip got upgraded to Cars Suite @ Art of Animation…it was AWESOME!!!! Loved the skyliner & having 2 bathrooms!! We swam in the Cozy Cone pool…right in front of the building we were in.

If you can get extended evening hours for a Foret Wilderness then can you get early theme park entry to?
