COMO joins $300 million project in Melbourne

Australia: Developer Orchard Piper has appointed COMO Hotels and Resorts to operate a nine-storey hotel within the $300 million Carter Building on St Kilda Road in Melbourne.

Expected to open in early 2028, the hotel will mark COMO’s second site in Australia following the debut of COMO The Treasury in Perth in 2015.

Designed by Kerry Hill Architects and occupying the first nine levels of The Carter Building, the hotel will feature 102 rooms including a selection of family suites.

Amenities include a Shambhala wellness centre set across one floor of the property, as well as a function room, fitness centre, a 20-metre lap pool, and a restaurant, cafe and bar.

All amenities and services, including access to Comoclub, will be available to guests of the 54 premium private residences within the building.

COMO’s portfolio currently stands at 18 hotels, resorts and private islands worldwide. This includes COMO Le Beauvallon, located above the gulf of Saint Tropez, which is set to open next year.
