Best Hyatt Category 4 hotels for free night certificates

Related Articles

One highlight of the World of Hyatt program is that it still uses award charts to determine how many points you need to redeem for a free night. The World of Hyatt award chart for Hyatt hotels and resorts has eight categories, and standard rooms at Hyatt Category 4 hotels cost 12,000 points on lowest nights; 15,000 points on low nights; 20,000 points on moderate nights; 22,500 points on upper nights; and 25,000 points on top nights.

Travelers often discuss Hyatt Category 4 hotels more than hotels in other categories because you can earn Category 1-4 certificates with the World of Hyatt Credit Card (see rates and fees), the Hyatt Milestone Rewards program and Hyatt’s Brand Explorer promotion. The best way to maximize these certificates is to use them at Category 4 hotels. Here’s a look at some of the best Hyatt Category 4 hotels and resorts.

Dream Nashville

The Dream brand joined World of Hyatt in 2023, and Dream Nashville is one of the better-rated Dream properties. Located in a restored landmark building just a few long blocks north of Lower Broadway and around the corner from Printers Alley, it’s close to several popular nightlife areas in Nashville.

And if you have Globalist status and book using points or a free night certificate, the parking fee will also be waived if you can charge it to your room.

You’ll find several bars and restaurants at Dream Nashville. Stateside Kitchen is the hotel’s primary restaurant, and it offers American classics for every meal. Meanwhile, Jo’s Coffee is open daily from morning to afternoon, and Vatos Tacos serves tacos, tequila and mezcal on Thursday to Saturday nights. Plus, Sushi By Bou is a 14-seat omakase with a nightly 12-course tasting menu. Hyatt Centric Murano Venice

I’ve never been to Venice, Italy, but assuming I visit while the Hyatt Centric Murano Venice is still a Category 4 option, I expect to stay there. The Hyatt Centric Murano Venice is on one of the less-touristy islands in Venice’s lagoon, but water buses make it easy to reach more popular islands.

You can take a water bus to the hotel, but the property also offers a shuttle boat from Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) that you can currently book for 22 euros ($26) per person.

If you want to eat a nicer meal at the Hyatt Centric, Osteriva serves as a relaxed Venetian dining experience in a greenhouse.
