Hotels in Causeway Bay is probably expensive. I recommend any hotel connected or near an MTR station is sufficient. Very easy to navigate and get around.
I don't think it's the best place to stay UNLESS you're here for a stopover and short on time. When you stay in the most touristy spots, there's less chance or want to see the real heart of the city and its people – which you would in the process of taking taxis or public transport. Plus, by living a little further, you'll have more to spend on your shopping and food!
Causeway Bay is more geared towards foreigners and shopping tourists – the “real” Hong Kong with street life, markets, and local vibes can be found in Mong Kok or Sham Shui Po.

NorthPoint is much better. More cheaper and less people but just few stations away to causeway bay and Mong Kok. Even the ferry is just close by.
