Every spring, Estes Park leans into one of the mountains’ most enduring legends.


Bigfoot Days returns April 24–25, 2026, bringing a weekend of live music, expert talks, film screenings and family-friendly activities to downtown Estes Park. The festival centers around Bond Park on Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM, with additional events and film premieres continuing into the evening.

What Is Bigfoot Days?


Bigfoot Days is an annual festival celebrating folklore, outdoor culture and a bit of mountain mystery. The event brings together Bigfoot researchers, television personalities, filmmakers and visitors for a day of talks, entertainment and themed activities.

Bigfoot Half Marathon and 5K


Bigfoot Days weekend also includes the Bigfoot Half Marathon and 5K, finishing downtown near the festival in Bond Park.


Runners are greeted by festival crowds, live music and mountain views along the course. Costumes are common, and many runners stick around after the race to enjoy the festival.

Late April in Estes Park can mean sunshine, wind or snow in the same afternoon. Layers are recommended.
