UK: Owner-operator Criterion Capital will convert Oxenford House in Oxford city centre under its Zedwell hotel brand.
The site is located at 13-15 Magdalen Street, close to Gloucester Green Market and the Ashmolean Museum.
The six-storey, 22,000 square-foot mixed-use building will be repositioned under Zedwell. Features will include self check-in kiosks and digital key access, alongside soundproofing, purified air systems, and ambient lighting in the rooms.
Halima Aziz, head of hotels at Zedwell, said: “Oxford is one of the world’s most iconic and culturally rich cities, making it a natural fit for Zedwell as we continue to scale across the UK. With a current and committed pipeline of more than 9,000 rooms by 2028, Zedwell is gaining powerful momentum across key urban destinations. We look forward to introducing our unique guest experience to Oxford and welcoming travellers from around the world.”
It follows the December 2025 opening of Zedwell Underground Park Lane in London – the brand’s second subterranean hotel in the UK.
