I always feel it if I have a flat. People need to not only know how to drive, but they need to know all about their vehicle. Too bad they don't teach auto mechanics in school anymore!

I can relate to the family in Story 7 concerning the lodge. In the early 80s, I received word that my aunt, who lived in St. Petersburg, Florida, , was very ill and I was needed. At the time, I was living in Tennessee and decided to take 601/301 to Florida. The first evening I was growing very tired and saw a family oriented clean motel in the middle of nowhere and decided to stop for the night. I checked in and appreciated that the cost of the room was more than reasonable.
I carried my overnight bag to my room, placed it on the bed, and immediately the hair on the back of my neck was standing on end along with gooseburmps.. My instincts told me to LEAVE that something was not right. I grabbed my overnight bag, left the key on the bed, got into my car and left. On the way home, I took a different route and never heard anything more about that motel. It is important to ALWAYS trust your instincts.
