The Amir story never happened. It's made up. Come on, some weird dude that was a bit of a social misfit, but no indications of being mentally ill/violent, just a little socially awkward & unaware, all of a sudden breaks into a dorm room and hides in a closet, wielding a kitchen knife? Lmao, some Redditors are just lazy. How many times is the same story of some maniac wielding a kitchen knife hiding in a closet going to come up?
PSA: "Even froze my credit" makes it sound like a bigger deal and hassle than it is. It's not difficult to do and can easily save you from a potential nightmare.
There are 3 major credit reporting agencies in America. TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian. You can simply go to each of their three websites, create an account for each and choose to freeze your credit. The entire process can be done in under 20 minutes. You don't have to wait until there's a problem to do it – you can do it literally right now regardless of your situation, and while there used to be a small fee for it, as of the last several decades, it's completely free to do. And if you ever your credit unfrozen – say you're applying for a line of credit – ask them which of the three they use, log in to that account, unfreeze your credit (again, it literally takes like 1 minute), and then once they pull your credit, you can refreeze it just as easily. Banks, credit card companies – anyone who would need to pull your credit to provide a service cannot do anything if your credit is frozen. Especially if you don't plan on regularly opening new lines of credit all the time, it's practical to do.

Amir is an Arabic, Persian Name, alot of Iranian guys are called amir or combinations thereof ,.
There is a high chance that this Amir you describe and talk about is an Iranian guy, possibly a migrant or student in California, since this is EXACTLY how Iranians are characterwise, those who travel or live in the western countries are very insecure, braggy, pretentious and stick around wherever they can show they are not iranian but Europeans !!!! Very typical ,.

This reminds me of traveling from my dad’s from a small town named Deleon, TX back in 04-05 I was in my 20’s at the time. I used to make this drive via 281. At the time there was some construction and if you know 281 it runs through little towns. I needed to fill up so I did so at the next bigger town. I asked the gas attendant what was the best way to catch 35S since back then we didn’t have maps on our phones. Anyway some guy answered me I didn’t think anything of it and filled up. I’m about 45 mins into my drive when I noticed the guy who answered me was now following me on 281S. It must’ve gave me a sick feeling cause I immediately called home for someone to stay on the phone with me. But back then using phone before 9 was unheard of due to costs. This guy was still following me I finally decided to slow down so he could pass me up which he did. 30 minutes later I see him coming but on opposite direction as soon as he passes me he pulls a u turn. I did the only logical thing I floored it I was in a 96 Honda Civic and he was an old beater. Finally after a while I lost him. I’ve never traveled alone since then.
