  1. I tried the partial Savannah view today through DVC and was told they no longer accept that request. I’ve done this in the past and got it but evidently, it’s no longer an option to even request it.

  2. The Movies Under the Stars are so much fun! I went to them when I was staying at All-star Movies, and met other people that were staying at the resort. I was staying there at Christmas time, so they were showing Disney Christmas movies.

  3. The cast members are absolutely amazing in Disney!
My daughter danced in the world dance competition @ Disney in July & marched in the parade. We stayed for a
    Week (PORS).
I have severe ADHD lost my phone 3x during our stay, 2x in MK. Lost my glasses at Blizzard beach, left all my souvenirs I had just bought in the hotel lobby and every single time cast members and visitors made sure I got my items back and even came and found me to ensure I go my things back.
My biggest take away from our trip to Disney was how kind everyone was. I’m not sure if everyone is just on there best Disney Behaviour while there but,
It was truly magical. I have never experienced such kindness and honestly in a public place.
    Unlike my local city,
Where I went to a fair upon my return home and got ripped off 50$ in the first 10 minutes there!

  4. My best friend and I got a free upgrade at AK Lodge and we were given a Savanah view room. We told the cast member at check in we could only be there one night, we had never stayed there and asked if there were any upgrades available. She graciously got us one and we were so blessed by watching all the animals! My advice is “always ask”.

  5. I had a wonderful upgrade. I had reservations at Port Orleans during Dapper Day a few years ago with my daughter and a friend. The friend couldn’t come so I convinced my mom to come. She agreed but she was in a wheel chair. The Cast Member had no idea what a special thing she did. She upgraded us to a Princess room. My mother was so happy! Later for dinner that night we went to quick dining to take food back to the room because my mom was pooped from the long day. The Cast Member loved our Dapper Day outfits so much (I was Rapunzel and my daughter vintage Minnie). We got another pixie dust and our meals were free! That was such an amazing visit. Unfortunately two months later my mom past away but she told all of her friends about that trip. Disney is special to my heart.

  6. I had a great experience with the front desk at Fort Wilderness when we reserved a cabin. We were driving down from Connecticut and my starter died at dinner time in North Carolina. The AAA mechanic told me I could drive the car but he recommended not turning the car off. I had tickets for Mickey’s Not so Scary for the next night, so I had some time pressure. We had planned on staying over, but now were afraid to do so. We continued driving all night, fueling up with the car running, my son reading to me as we went, then we would discuss what he had just read. We arrived at Fort Wilderness around 3:00 am. I went into the lobby with the car running and told the desk clerk”you have to help me!” He was wonderful. Got us a cabin, and explained how to get the car to the garage ( which was also a great experience!). We all flopped down and slept, got the car to the garage, and had a great time at the party. Bless the great cast members at Disney!

  7. I stayed at All Star Movies one year, and my room was closer to All Star Music's bus stops than AS Movies. Weird. Hopped off the bus and saved a few steps to go rest.

  8. I got a ????????Im going to Polynesian Resort with my family to celebrate my 40th bday ….My birthday is on October 25th …but I will be at Polynesian and Disney World from October 10 to the 19th…I know it’s not a guarantee either way but can I ask for a free upgrade for my birthday even though I won’t be there on the exact date of my birthday ????? And if it is ok …is a better chance to get the upgrade if I call ahead before we get there or when we make it too the front desk???

  9. We did a split stay 2 visits ago and stayed at Martinque at Carribean Resort. What was cool (beside the Skyliner) was that at night we sat on a bench by the water and watched the fireworks from Hollywood Studios AND no crowds!

  10. I’ve tried calling my resort to make requests before I check in this coming September, but every time I call the specific number for Art of Animation, it still connects me to a main Disney World line. Usually the person doesn’t even know the answer to what I need. Then I get transferred and never talk to the resort itself.

  11. Respectfully, I could not disagree more with your take on Caribbean Beach. We LOVED our stay there. Booking in Jamaica gives you closer access to the skyliner and isn't too far from the lobby. Also, they have a super fun pool with 2 water slides. And regarding the food…they have one of the best pool bars on property that serves a pineapple coconut bread pudding, which is better than Ohana, Sebastian's is great, and their quick service is good– they have a Cuban sandwich that I couldn't stop eating. To each their own, but again I adore CBR.

  12. Thank you for the free water park tip on arrival day! We’re staying at port riverside after getting off a Disney cruise. We’re not doing the park and only have one day there with early check in. If you have any tips. Disney springs is on our list. I’m trying to find info on transportation like the Lyft, bus and ferry options

  13. No joke we called the animal kingdom lodge to ask if our room is ready because we got so tired at the park after rope dropping…and had such a great encounter! That sweet man on the other side upgraded us to a savannah view FOR FREE it was an amazing part of our holiday and I wish I knew his name for a cast compliment but I really hope he is having holidays as great as ours was because of him ❤❤❤

  14. DFB Team, regarding resort hotel upgrades, I might have already told you this story, but: after a very hard 2000-2003, I booked a solo trip for September 2004 and had a great time. I wanted to return with my brother, and he was on the verge of saying yes multiple times, but he’s very cheap and ultimately said no. Our father died on November 20, 2014, and we were both devastated. But we inherited some money. On Black Friday, after the funeral earlier in the week, I asked if he wanted to go using some of Dad’s money, going over his Feb. 3 birthday (which would have been his 91st.) We both needed a dose of happy fantasy. He agreed right away. Then I asked his friend Colin, who had been my rock during Dad’s funeral (my brother was a pallbearer.) Colin said no, but then his own mother died on December 20, and he immediately understood and agreed to go. I had booked my brother and myself into All-Star music, but Colin could stay in Shades of Green. He found out (i think due to his rank) that he could stay for less at Coronado Springs. So, on arrival day, Colin’s in CS and I’m standing at the check-in desk with my brother and our luggage. I explained the circumstances of our visit to the front desk agent. He told us to wait a few minutes, got another cast member, and they worked on the computer for a while. I had no idea what was happening. But then they told us they were giving us a free upgrade to adjoining rooms in CS, and transferring our luggage over there and giving us a free private ride! I was blown away. It was the best trip. It’s stuff like this that makes me a loyal Disney fan forever.
