MARIPOSA COUNTY — The Yosemite Songwriting Retreat is back for its 2024 edition! As always, bringing together an exceptional group of musicians for a weekend of creativity, education, and community. Scheduled from October 11th to the 13th at The Grove House in Mariposa, California. This retreat offers a unique experience for both seasoned and aspiring songwriters looking to perfect their craft in a supportive and fun environment.
Musicians Attending
Returning to the retreat this year, is the renowned multi-instrumentalist and musical explorer, Joe Craven. Craven will be joined by other talented artists:
Known for his inspirational approach to music, Joe Craven brings a wealth of enthusiasm and experience that promises to invigorate participants. Additionally, the retreat features accomplished local songwriters Gail Dreifus and Ava Burns, as well as sound engineer and musician, David Budries, who will be there to assists guests in bringing their songs to life.
What Awaits You
To begin, the Yosemite Songwriting Retreat is designed to be a transformative experience for participants. Therefore, offering workshops and sessions that focus on the art of songwriting, performance skills, and the creative process of it all. Guests who attend will have the opportunity to:

- engage in meaningful discussions about creativity and music
The retreat is open to ages 18+, making it an inclusive event for all levels of musical experience. With a tuition fee of $475, participants will receive not only high-level instruction but also six delicious meals. All prepared by the one and only, Miles Palmer, a local food enthusiast and chef from The Grove House. The meals are crafted to nourish both soul and body, enhancing the experience of the retreat.

This concert, featuring performances by the retreat’s faculty members, is open to anyone and is a great way to get a taste of what the retreat can/will offer. Furthermore, donations are welcomed to help build a scholarship fund for those who may need financial assistance to attend the retreat.
