MARIPOSA COUNTY–The Mariposa County Library is partnering with three community organizations to host an event centered around fire safety. The three presenters work collaboratively on the Mariposa County Fire Advisory Committee (MCFAC). They plan projects with input from all the first responder agencies and partner organizations in Mariposa County. Come learn about the who, what, where, why, how, and when of the fire prevention efforts and projects taking place. They will discuss fuel breaks, home hardening, Firewise, and more.
This is a family-friendly event. Library staff will be facilitating an activity for children in the courtyard area behind Midpines Hall, so that parents and guardians may attend the talk.
The event will be Saturday, August 24th at Midpines Hall, from 10 a.m. to noon. Midpines Hall is located at 6364 Highway 140 in the Midpines Park.
