As an avid Amazon and Whole Foods shopper, this card is a staple in my lineup and an absolute no-brainer for me. The card carries no annual fee but does require you to be an Amazon Prime member. Prime membership costs $14.99 monthly or $139 for the year.

Application restrictions

To be eligible for this card, you need to have an active Prime membership.

Additionally, the Prime Visa is issued by Chase; therefore, you’ll want to be under 5/24 for a better chance of approval. The infamous 5/24 rule means you can’t have opened five or more cards across all issuers in the past 24 months to be approved for most Chase cards.

However, some data points from Reddit show that some cardholders have been approved at or slightly over 5/24. Just keep in mind that this varies.
