Bilt Cash is a new form of rewards that you can earn and redeem within the Bilt Rewards program. Bilt Cash replaces the former milestone rewards program, but it is a type of currency that you can earn alongside and in addition to Bilt Points. So, here’s what you need to know about Bilt Cash, including how to earn and redeem it.
TPG exclusive offer: Learn how you can earn up to 100,000 Bilt Points.
What is Bilt Cash?
Bilt Cash is a rewards currency that you can earn as a Bilt Rewards member. Bilt Cash is different from Bilt points, and you can earn both from select activities (such as everyday purchases with the new Bilt credit cards).
You earn Bilt Cash by engaging with the Bilt Rewards program, and you’ll soon be able to redeem it across the Bilt ecosystem for dollar-for-dollar value, special access and more.

How to see your Bilt Cash balance
Checking your Bilt Cash balance is easy. Just open the Bilt website or app and navigate to your wallet.
If you have a Bilt card, you may see it when you click on your wallet, but you should notice Bilt Cash as an option among the other cards you’ve linked. Click on “Bilt Cash” to see your Bilt Cash balance and redemption options.
How to earn Bilt Cash
You can earn Bilt Cash through two primary methods: the new Bilt credit cards and by reaching points milestones. However, Bilt has explicitly said that it plans to launch new ways to earn Bilt Cash in the future.
Currently, you’ll receive $50 in Bilt Cash each time you earn 25,000 Bilt points. But, once the new Bilt cards become usable Feb. 7, you’ll earn 4% back in Bilt Cash on everyday purchases with your Bilt card.

Bilt Palladium Card members will also get $200 in Bilt Cash when approved for the card and then on Jan. 1 each subsequent year. So, if you get a new Bilt credit card and start putting everyday purchases on it, you’ll see your Bilt Cash balance grow.

How to redeem Bilt Cash
Even if you’ve already started earning Bilt Cash, you can’t redeem Bilt Cash until February. Starting in February, you’ll be able to redeem Bilt Cash for dollar-for-dollar value and specific types of one-time access. Specifically, Bilt shows members the following about redeeming Bilt Cash:

So, you’ll be able to redeem Bilt Cash dollar for dollar toward hotel credits, dining credits, fitness credits, Lyft credits, Home Delivery credits and Bilt Collection credits once redemptions launch in February. As such, you could use $30 of Bilt Cash to get $30 of dining or Lyft rides, among other options.
Plus, you’ll occasionally be able to redeem Bilt Cash to unlock special perks, such as higher transfer bonuses, access to Home Away from Home hotels and early access to booking experiences. This access may be worth paying for, especially if you don’t have Bilt elite status that offers this access.
Bilt cardmembers will also be able to redeem Bilt Cash to unlock Bilt points on rent and mortgage payments. To offset the transaction fee, the redemption rate is 3 cents of Bilt Cash, which unlocks 1 point. So, if your rent is $1,000 for the month, you could redeem $30 in Bilt Cash to earn 1,000 Bilt points on a month of rent. Importantly, there’s no minimum, so you could redeem 3 cents of Bilt cash to unlock 1 point if you wanted.
If you don’t have enough Bilt Cash to cover the entire fee but still want to earn the full 1 point per dollar spent on your housing payment, a 3% fee will be applied to the difference.
What’s the best way to redeem Bilt Cash?
It’s difficult to say definitively what the best way to redeem Bilt Cash will be at this point.
After all, we don’t yet know how much Bilt Cash will be needed to unlock higher transfer bonuses, access to Home Away from Home hotels and early access to book experiences.

However, considering the rate at which members can redeem Bilt Cash to earn points on rent or mortgage payments — at a rate of 3 cents per point — using Bilt Cash for credits at a dollar-for-dollar rate will most likely provide better value.
To break it down, TPG’s January 2026 valuations value Bilt points at 2.2 cents each. So, unless you redeem Bilt points at a rate of at least 3 cents per point — which is certainly possible with some of the Bilt transfer partners — you’d be better off using your Bilt Cash to earn points on housing payments or for credits at a dollar-for-dollar rate.
Plus, if you’d like to earn the full 1 point per dollar spent on rent or mortgage payments, you can use your Bilt Cash to potentially offset some (or the entire) transaction fee.
For example, if your rent is $2,000 per month and you have earned $40 in Bilt Cash, to get the maximum amount of points on rent (2,000 points), you have the option to redeem your Bilt Cash and incur a 3% transaction fee on the difference. In this case, you would have to pay an additional $20. However, you can also opt out of earning the full amount of points and incur no transaction fee.
