Where did you stay for your first time in Vegas? Or where are you planning to stay?
My first time was at the Aladdin when it was brand new. I still like Planet Hollywood for the price and location at the center of the strip. I always get upgraded and comped there as well.
Ruby, haven't you heard? People aren't going to Vegas anymore. Check the local news stations on here & newspaper articles. Nobody wants to pay parking fees, resort fees, hotel rates and very high food prices. They are going to Oklahoma, Florida, Texas, Connecticut and Indian reservations. They don't charge these outrageous fees.
$20 upgrade worked well at the Flamingo. We scored room high enough to have a great view of the flamingo habitat and the Sphere. We spent a lot of time watching the Sphere!! 6:28 Ramsey's Burger Restaurant was awesome. Gambling was fun. $20 shoulder massages would make you slap your mama. Waitresses were quick and friendly. Hotel was clean and the rooms were quiet. We will definitely choose the Flamingo from here on out.
What’s your take on the Linq
First time, I stayed in the old Aladdin, kind of a motel setting, for $10 a night.
What about the Aria?
What is the best hotel near the Las Vegas Convention Center? What is the best hotels in N. Las Vegas?
Park MGM is great if you aren't used to smoke.
I would love to know who has the best balcony rooms!
I thought that Blondies closed?
First timers? Las vegas for tourists is literally one street. Not hard to figure out anything .
All your videos show why we should not vacation in Vegas. I will take your advice and not go. Thanks
We like staying at the El Cortez premium rooms.
Just booked a couple of nights there for November.
😎
Love your presentation
Pro tip: your ‘budget-friendly’ hotel stops feeling friendly after the $45 daily fee.
Thank you for this video. Never been to Vegas so this was mandatory viewing. Great video.
To some people the Bellagio fountain view rooms can be loud with the water cannon firings till midnight lol but i find it kinda peaceful. One of my favorite camping spots has a fog horn at the end of the jetty you will hear every 35 seconds.
The automated foghorn on the Barview jetty blows a 5-second blast every 35 seconds during heavy fog, and also sounds 24/7 as a sound reference for boats.
Sadly the duopoly of the strip is destroying it. Replacing humans in the casino with robots and replacing slots with gigantic video games. The charm is all but extinct.
Too expensive. Never again.
Bob Stupak’s Vegas World in the 90s (or 80s?) with my parents when I was a kid. They used to send deals in the mail.
There is only one hotel for a First Timer. Just like passing Basic Training, you have to stay at Circus Circus. This hotel will transport you back in time to the Las Vegas of the 90's (the best decade of Las Vegas). They still have old school neon lights, coin slot machine that gives you the sound ching ching ching, free circus shows and cheap food. The rooms are old, but what I can say, "You're Welcome".
My first time in Vegas was New Years Eve in approx 1975. My sister and I drove there from San Francisco with no reservations and just prayed that we would get a room. We went to the Circus Circus (it was newish then and super fun) and got lucky… they gave us the only room they had which was the Honeymoon Suite, so my sister and I slept in a round bed with a mirror over it!! lol I have subsequently stayed at Sahara, Circa, Palms, South Point, Mandalay Bay and W.
Only been there once 6 years ago and did stay at Planet Hollywood, she’s right great location and price and nice basic room, but the pool was dirty.
We’ll be at the linq the 20-24th!! So excited, first time in Vegas! What time would you recommend getting to freemont street? My wife and I like to have a good time but we aren’t night clubbers, we want to go see it and all the old casinos, we have tickets to mob museum and we have tickets to neon light museum once the sun goes down. I was originally thinking about getting there to start exploring around 2pm but I’ve had some people tell me to get get there as late as 6-7PM. That seems late to still be able to explore and see all the hotels and everything? What would everybody recommend to some first timers for one day in freemont? We’re spending the rest of the trip on the strip!
Trump hotel was great
Linq is the best then go to Downtown Grand
Very impressed with the quality of ur videos
You should quote prices with resort fees.
Hilton vacation club (formerly Desert Paradise) on S Decatur. Like living in a condo with everything in it. You can then shop your own groceries and tell Vegas "screw you!"
If you're really NOT into the drinking and gambling, but still want to stay in Las Vegas…I suggest The Renaissance, which is right by the convention center. Yes, it's a convention hotel, but the rooms are great, and you can catch the monorail at the convention center to head out to the strip. My wife and I have stayed there several times (attending conventions), and we loved it each time.
You forgot about the linq! I would say it's still affordable well i HOPE IT IS..LOL but it's really nice in there and the rooms are OKAY for first timers!
Me and wife are coming to Vegas in December and was interested in the Ceasar deal. Do you have a direct link to the offer?
First Vegas trip (that i planned) i stayed at Aria. Loved it. Will go back once i stay at the other places i want to stay at which i havent stayed at.
Ruby, you are the best. Great topics. Too bad Vegas is pricing itself out of business.
this might be an unpopular opinion, but i actually love when the casino floors are busy at the resort i’m staying at. just kind of makes it the cherry on top to the whole Vegas experience 💟🎲
I watch all your videos, I particularly enjoy the comments on the different hotel buffets. I would love to see current videos on the food quality and prices compared to your earlier videos.
Did you do a review on Caesar palace and between them la circa and belleago which do you prefer?
My first time was Treasure island..then Wynn, then Cosmo.. would like to do Circa and Bellagio ..great video!
Thanks Ruby! Great list:-)! We are trying Aria for a first time at the end of October… might want to do a video if traveling with your child… best arcades or those with Kids Quest… we are bringing our 7 year old to see Wizard of Oz over Halloween week.. he had a question is there a good neighborhood where he could trick or treat off strip for an hour?
