Singapore: Lifestyle hotel brand The Standard is due to open a 143-room luxury hotel in Singapore next month in November.

Located on Orange Grove Road, The Standard Singapore has been designed by the group’s in-house team led by Verena Haller in collaboration with the Ministry of Design.

It features 143 guest rooms set across eight storeys, with a two-storey garden and path lined with art installations leading up to the pool.

F&B venues include the Japanese-inspired Kaya restaurant and bar, as well as a ground floor cafe serviced an all-day menu.

Amar Lalvani, executive chairman of Standard International, said: “We couldn’t be more excited to open in Singapore. This city is going through an incredibly dynamic period and emerging into an important global commercial, cultural, and creative hub that’s perfect for The Standard. We look forward to welcoming guests, as well as the local community, to explore our new urban oasis and its hidden treasures.”

The Singapore site will join two other hotels in South East Asia: The Standard, Hua Hin and The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon. A second Bangkok hotel in Phra Arthit will open under the group’s sister brand The StandardX in November too.

Elsewhere, there are Standard hotels under development in Brussels, Pattaya, Lisbon, Medellin, Mexico City, Tulum and more, with branded residences opening in Miami, Lisbon, Mexico City, Phuket and Hua Hin.
