UK: Sutton Hotel Collection will invest £9.5 million in a refurbishment programme for The Castle Hotel Windsor, scheduled for completion in late 2026.
The multi-phase project, starting in November 2025, will see a full refresh of the property’s bedrooms and suites, beginning with the Mews and original hotel before moving to the Park Wing.
The ground floor will also undergo a redesign, while the restaurant will relaunch with a new British brasserie concept.
Interiors will be led by 3DReid.
Set opposite Windsor Castle, the landmark property has a history dating back to 1528. The investment will also extend to the hotel’s team, with plans to expand and develop staff.
Shaun Bowles, cluster general manager at Sutton Hotel Collection, said: “This £9.5 million transformation is more than just a renovation – we will be fully repositioning The Castle Hotel within the Windsor market and investing heavily within our brand, our people and our guest journey.
“We’ll be empowering the team to be imaginative and curate personalised experiences for the guest. We will also be focusing on delivering a first-class British restaurant and elevating our afternoon tea to appeal to the 12million tourists that visit Windsor every year.”
