COARSEGOLD–Air and ground firefighters are responding to a structure fire that has spread to the vegetation  in the area of the 64000 block of Road 417. The fire is 15-20 acres with multiple structures threatened. The potential is for 500 acres. This is the Coarsegold Fire. We will update this article when more information is available.

The evacuation advisories for evacuation zones MAD-E0885 and MAD-E0881 have been lifted .

Update 4:00 PM

The evacuation warnings for zones MAD-E0721, MAD-E0717, MAD-E0711, and MAD-E0719 have been lifted. Evacuation warnings remain in place for zones MAD-E0881, and MAD-E0885.

Update 12:40 PM

Evacuation Orders in place still for  zones MAD-E0711, MAD-E0717, MAD-E0881 and Evacuation Warnings  for zones MAD-E0719, MAD-E0721 and MAD -E0885.

Forward Progress of the fire has been stopped.

Update 12:15 PM

Zones MAD-E0711, MAD-E0717, MAD-E0719, MAD-E0881 are all on evacuation orders due to an immediate threat to life. This is a lawful order to leave now. The area is lawfully closed to public access. A map of the evacuations is available here.

The fire is now 30 to 40 acres and being held by the retardant and road systems.
