Shake Shack is playing a whole new ballgame with its expansion strategy, opening Tuesday next to Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves. With a goal of hitting 1,500 shacks, the ballpark location is a way for the company to meet fans where they are as it also continues growth in urban, suburban, drive-thru and licensed spots, according to a company press release.
The location, which is the chain’s second-largest unit, features seating for over 100, its first bar, a wall of free arcade games and over a dozen TVs with live game audio.
The company said the Atlanta store will serve as a test unit for operational upgrades, including self-ordering kiosks and a walk-up pickup window for quick to-go orders.
On game days, fans may order from a dedicated cart serving grab-and-go hot dogs, a nod to Shake Shack’s roots as a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park.
