The structure featured a floral replica of the Star Princess, highlighting architectural details such as The Dome and the spherical Piazza. To represent the region’s natural environment, the design incorporated animated wildlife figures including whales, sea otters, eagles, a bear, and a moose. The floral arrangement utilized specific botanicals like blue tweedia to symbolize the Alaska state flower, alongside silverleaf protea and coconut to simulate the texture of icy waters.
In alignment with the parade’s theme, “The Magic in Teamwork,” four Princess Cruises teammates rode on the float to represent the company’s global workforce. Twelve performers accompanied the float, dancing to a reimagined version of “The Love Boat” theme song. Marie Lee, the Chief Marketing Officer, noted that the entry honored both the crew and the local Alaskan communities that support their voyages.
This appearance highlights the brand’s 2026 Alaska program, which is described as their most extensive season to date. The schedule features eight ships, 180 departures, and 19 destinations. The Star Princess is scheduled to sail weekly seven-day Inside Passage cruises roundtrip from Seattle between May 3 and September 19, 2026. The vessel, a Sphere Class ship weighing 177,800 tons, is designed to accommodate 4,300 guests.
