Norwegian Cruise Line has announced its winter 2027/2028 deployment, featuring more than 370 voyages across nearly 50 countries. This extensive season includes a wide array of itineraries ranging from two to 22 days. A notable highlight of this announcement is the homeporting of two Prima Class ships, Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. These vessels will offer week-long sailings to the Southern Caribbean, providing travelers with diverse options in the region.
The company is also emphasizing its presence in Florida, with seven ships departing from various homeports in the state. Many of these Caribbean and Bahamas routes will feature stops at Great Stirrup Cay, NCL’s private island, which is undergoing enhancements such as a new pier and a waterpark. Beyond the Americas, the deployment extends to Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Norwegian Jade will operate in Japan and Southeast Asia, while Norwegian Spirit returns to Australia and New Zealand for its fifth consecutive season, offering immersive itineraries with several overnight stays.
In addition to new routes, NCL is bringing back the Free at Sea Plus package due to popular demand. Available for sailings starting February 1, 2026, this upgrade costs 49.99 dollars per person per day. It builds upon the standard Free at Sea offerings by adding unlimited Starbucks beverages, streaming Wi-Fi, premium spirits, and discounts on specialty dining. The company aims to provide greater value and a more personalized experience by allowing guests longer port stays, which average 9.5 hours. This deployment strategy reflects NCL’s commitment to global expansion and guest convenience, offering departures from major hubs including Miami, Port Canaveral, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Galveston, and Los Angeles.
