After arriving at the railroad, guests are welcomed with a delicious, savory BBQ dinner. Options for the dinner include your choice of NY steak or chicken, all served fresh at the station. As you are enjoying your meal, live music is played. This adds an ambiance and sets the stage for the evening’s main attraction– the train ride!
The Train Ride Experience
After dinner, passengers board the historic logger steam train, known for its authentic charm and historical significance. The memorable train ride is not just a journey but a narrated excursion where the conductor shares intriguing stories of the railroad’s past and the region’s rich heritage. The logger steam train travels through beautiful landscapes, offering a different perspective on the Sierra Nevada Mountain’s natural beauty as the sun sets.
About halfway through the trip, the train stops at Lewis Creek Canyon. Here, guests disembark for a brief but enjoyable intermission featuring additional live music and entertainment. This small break offers the guests a chance to stretch their legs, socialize, and soak in the evening’s magical atmosphere before reboarding the train.
As the train makes its way back to the station, passengers are treated with the mesmerizing sight of the Shay’s firebox glowing under the night sky. Distant sounds of the wilderness and the gentle rhythm of the train give you an enchanting feel, providing a serene end to the delightful evening.
