Fees for campsites like this one at Mojave National Preserve to go up in the new year / NPS

Starting January 1, 2025, all campsites at Mojave National Preserve will be available for reservations up to six months in advance on a rolling basis. Same-day reservations will also be allowed. Public internet access is available at the Hole-in-the-Wall Visitor Center and Mid Hills Campground to help with booking.

The online reservation system goes live at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time on Monday, December 23, 2024, for campsites available starting January 1, 2025.

Here’s what’s changing with campground fees:

Campground Fee Effective January 1, 2025
Hole-in-the-Wall Campground  $25 per night
Mid Hills Campground  $20 per night
Black Canyon Group and Equestrian Campground  $50 per night

After extensive public input and a thorough review, the National Park Service determined that the new campground fees are in line with those at similar nearby campgrounds. The increased fees will generate essential revenue to support operations and address deferred maintenance projects aimed at improving the visitor experience. Planned upgrades include improving accessibility at two campgrounds, repairing parking areas at Hole-in-the-Wall Campground, and adding toilet facilities at high-use visitor areas.
