UK: Highly Recommended Hotels, a collection of privately-owned luxury hotels across the UK, has launched with 12 founding members.
The collection so far features four and five-star hotels across the UK. Member properties include:
• Storrs Hall – a 36-bed hotel housed within a 17th century stone boathouse, located in Bowness-on-Windermere. The hotel provides a selection of lakeside suites and offers complimentary paddle board and wetsuit hire.
• GuestHouse Hotels – the portfolio features four boutique hotels in York, Bath, Margate and soon to open in Brighton.
• Plas Dinas Country House – an 11-bedroom hotel with fine-dining restaurant The Gunroom, located between the Menai Straits and Snowdonia in North Wales.
• Hoar Cross Hall – a Grade II-listed stately home in Staffordshire. The hotel features 104 bedrooms with a new spa terrace offering a three-pool deck, sauna and private cabanas, plus indoor facilities such as hydrotherapy, saltwater pools, and a snooze room.
• Matfen Hall Hotel, Golf & Spa – set in more than 300 acres of parkland in Northumberland, the 65-bedroom hotel offers a selection of bars and restaurants, wellness facilities and a golf course.
