Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, with their majestic peaks, serene lakes, and charming small-town atmosphere, have set the stage for countless love stories. From engagements to anniversaries, these timeless moments continue to unfold as couples return to Estes Park, reliving cherished memories and creating new ones. Check out these adorable “Then & Now” couples of Rocky Mountain National Park!
Annette is 65 years young and has been coming to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park since she was an infant. She grew up traveling each summer in a travel trailer until her parents eventually parked the trailer year-round in Estes Park, where they would throw in tubes and float down the river. Later on, Annette and her husband bought a condo in Estes Park, which they visit throughout the year. Some of her favorite memories are hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park, driving on Trail Ridge Road, Miniature Golf at Tiny Town, go kart tracks, feeding the fish at Trout Haven, and much more. She says the love of hiking has passed on to her grandchildren. “I always say that Estes has been my home away from home and forever my “happy place,” said Annette. “I feel most alive when I’m exploring a gorgeous trail in RMNP. It has been such a blessing in my life!”
About the photo above: “My husband and I love hiking in RMNP! We Celebrated our 44th Wedding Anniversary yesterday, so I thought it would be fun to share a throwback photo (Timberline Falls, a year after we were married in 1981) and Dream Lake- May 2024! We’re still breathing in that good ole Rocky Mountain air and loving every single minute,” said Annette.
And these love bugs chimed in with their Then & Now photo as they celebrated 32 years of love in the Rocky Mountains.
If you haven’t celebrated love in Estes Park with your sweetheart yet, now’s the time to book that unforgettable trip!
