Las Vegas is on sale, baby!
After testing the waters in late summer with a smattering of discounts and deals at various hotel properties, Vegas has just announced an unprecedented five-day sale at more than two dozen of the city’s most popular casino hotels along the Las Vegas Strip. It includes steep price cuts on hotel rooms, as well as food-and-beverage credits to use at those properties. There are also special offers on Vegas experiences, including spa treatments.
The sale runs through Friday, Sept. 26. You can find all the special offers in the deal by heading to the Visit Las Vegas website.
The “Fabulous Escape” sale, as it is called, is the first time Vegas has ever offered such a wide range of discounts and offers for tourists, and comes as the city works to break out of the travel slump that saw tourism drop 11% in the summer.
According to Steve Hill, CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, this sale is part of the city’s attempt to reassure people they can visit Sin City without breaking the bank.
“Given the current economic environment, the value message that is part of this initiative is important,” Hill told TPG in an interview. “Las Vegas has been responding to some of the concerns of our customers around value in a number of different ways.”
The sale came together in rapid fashion in late August after the LVCVA suggested a city-wide sale like this, combined with the city’s usual strong fall season due to convention business and sports, could spark a resurgence in travel.
“We brought up the idea to our hotel partners and they loved it,” Hill said. “They jumped on it and helped make it happen.”

Las Vegas hotel deals

We’ve spotlighted some of the more notable offers for hotel rooms in the sale. They include:
The following hotels are offering up to 50% off regular room rates:
The Venetian Resort and The Palazzo are discounting suites up to 33% off regular rates.
Certain properties are offering more specialized discounts. The newest resort on the strip, Fontainebleau Las Vegas, is offering 20% off room rates and a $50 daily food-and-beverage credit; it’s also waiving the dreaded resort fee, which can add up to $55 a night to your bill.
One of the best offers for a room on the Strip was at Treasure Island Hotel and Casino, where you can book deluxe rooms starting at $99 plus tax for a Sunday through Thursday stay. That includes a $30 daily credit and no resort fees.
The Aria, Bellagio, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and Vdara Hotel & Spa are all offering up to 25% off room rates along with a daily $100 in food-and-beverage credit to be used on property.
The Circa Resort & Casino in downtown Vegas is extending its $400 all-in price for a two-night booking (Sunday through Thursday). That includes a $100 dining credit, a $100 beverage credit and a daybed at its popular Stadium Swim, where you can watch just about any sporting event.
Circa’s Fremont Street neighbor, The D Hotel and Casino, has a $100 all-in price for a two-night stay. That comes with a $100 dining credit at Andiamo Steakhouse and two passes to Stadium Swim at Circa.
Las Vegas dinner-and-drinks deals

It seems Vegas hotels are hearing the growing complaints from visitors about how expensive eating and drinking along the Strip has become because a big part of this sale involves discounts on food and cocktails.
Resorts World Las Vegas is offering a complimentary dinner at one of the property’s on-site restaurants, while the Venetian Resort and The Palazzo are throwing in a $50 cocktail credit along with more than $300 in dining offers, up to $100 in spa credit and two-for-one gondola rides.
Caesars properties like Caesars Palace, the Paris Las Vegas, Nobu Hotel and The Cromwell are offering a food-and-beverage credit as a resort fee match, meaning you’re essentially waiving the resort fee.
Some other specific food-and-drink deals include:
- Blondies Bar and Grill at Planet Hollywood: $20 open bar, Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m.
- Eataly at the Park MGM: Three-course prix fixe menu for $36
- Fremont Street Hotel & Casino: Tony Roma’s prime rib dinner special for $15.99

Additionally, The Spa at Palms has massage specials starting at $99.
Weddings
A Vegas wedding is truly an experience like no other. Take it from me, as I renewed my vows there with my better half a few years ago. You haven’t truly said “I do” until you’ve done it at the request of an Elvis impersonator. There are several offers available right now to help you tie the knot while in Vegas:
- Caesars Entertainment: 20% off wedding packages at select venues
- A Little White Wedding Chapel: Complimentary three-rose bouquet with chapel package
- Mon Bel Ami Wedding Chapel: 20% off select wedding packages
- Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel: $200 in upgrades on the Elvis Pink Cadillac Wedding Package — complete with Elvis as the minister
- Vegas Weddings: $100 off the most popular Dream Wedding Package
Bottom line

The idea behind this Vegas sale is to acknowledge the current economic realities that have some travelers hesitating before booking a vacation.
“We have seen a broader spectrum of household income that’s concerned about where the national economy is right now and are uncertain about what the future looks like,” Hill said. “And this is an opportunity to … let all those folks know, hey, everybody needs an escape right now. Here’s a discounted escape for you.”
If you’re interested in booking your escape, you have five days to find the deal that appeals to you and lock it in.
