Hello everyone, I’m Jeff Hyer, and I’m a safari ADDICT! I got my first taste for the safari life almost a decade ago when I studied abroad in Kenya, and ever since I caught safari fever I’ve been exploring East Africa every chance I get. Having now been on over a dozen safaris, I created this channel to share what I’ve learned over the years so you can optimize your safari planning experience.

In today’s safari insights video, I’m answering the first two questions everyone asks themselves when starting to trip plan. HOW and WHO should you book? There are 100s of tour companies in East Africa to choose from, so what do you look for when making the best choice for you?

Later in the video, I’ll be sharing my top recommendation for who to book a safari with! I’ll be sharing a the story about how I discovered them, and how this very special tour operator has become my personal favorite in East Africa.

  1. if we have just one trip to go for Safari, which country do we choose Tanzania or Kenya. Is there river crossing in both countries? what is the advantage of visiting one vs the other. Please let me know. Thanks

  2. If you love animals and wildlife species and wanted to next generation animals stay alive
Please try to stopped hunting innocent animal life
If you hunting animals you reduced animals species one by one ex: buffalo, giraffe and lions and other animals species it's perious animals
    It's few left animals species
Please request Stop hunting animals let them grow up

  3. I tried Gorilla O’clock after watching a ton of your videos and realising I couldn’t book a trip on my own. Communication was good in the beginning and we started building an itinerary. I had asked for some quotes and things went down south and my last communication didn’t get a response. I ended up booking my Safari via another tour operator so it all worked out and I’m very much looking forward to. I look forward to watching more of your journey. Your videos have been a wealth of information in booking my trip 😊

  4. Jeff, I've enjoyed many of your videos but this is not one of them. I'm guessing that you earn some sort of commission for recommending this company…that is disappointing.

  5. Hello Jeff,

Many thanks for your compliments and for recommending us! We are happy that we have been able to meet your expectations every time you have done a trip with us!

At Gorilla O’clock, you come as a guest but leave as a friend and family!

  6. I understand you are connected to Gorilla O’Clock( you only find this out at the end) , but in the description you say recommendations and all you really did here was an ad for one company.
