Oman: IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened its first Hotel Indigo in the Middle East, located in the Jabal Akhdar mountain range outside of Muscat.

Hotel Indigo Jabal Akhdar Resort & Spa is located 2,000 metres above sea level, around a two-hour drive from Oman’s capital Muscat, and a six-hour drive from Dubai.

It features 173 guest rooms, suites and chalets, a spa and wellness facility with treatment rooms, Himalayan salt rooms, thermal zones and indoor/outdoor pools, and three F&B venues.

Vue Rooftop & Lounge will serve a sharing menu of wood-fired dishes, Cafe Wadi Habib features a menu inspired by the teas, coffees and pastries of a traditional souq market, while the all-day restaurant Zaatar offers traditional Omani cuisine.

Additional amenities include a business centre and boardroom with capacity for 12 people.

Every detail and every experience have been carefully curated to immerse guests in the story of this remarkable destination, connect with the local culture and create memories that will stay long after you leave. From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel the magic of this place. We can’t wait to welcome guests to our neighbourhood and share the wonders of Jabal Akhdar.”

The hotel opened 1 September 2024 as the first Indigo property in the region. As of 30 June 2024, there are currently 158 Hotel Indigo properties open globally and an additional 133 in the pipeline.
