FAT Brands Inc. has opened its first Fatburger franchise in Paris, launching a planned 30-unit expansion across France. The restaurant is on Avenue du Général de Gaulle in Rosny-sous-Bois, outside of Paris.
The Beverly Hills, California-based FAT Brands is partnering with Mehdi Bella of Big M to develop the brand in France. Two additional restaurants are expected to open later this year, one in northern France and another in southern France.
“France is a key strategic growth market for Fatburger, and we’re proud to open the first restaurant in what will be a strong partnership with Mehdi Bella and his team,” Jake Berchtold, COO of FAT Brands’ fast-casual division, said in a company press release.
