AmaWaterways has announced the launch of its 2026 season, which is being positioned as the most refined and high-quality season in the company history. Under the leadership of CEO Catherine Powell, the cruise line is implementing a series of comprehensive investments across its entire fleet to enhance the overall passenger experience. These updates focus on multiple touchpoints of the journey, ranging from physical ship aesthetics to specialized service partnerships.
The aesthetic updates begin with the ships’ exteriors, which feature a new warm color palette intended to reflect the onboard atmosphere. Inside the staterooms, guests will find upgraded linens and sustainable bathroom products through a partnership with Marie-Stella-Maris. Additionally, the line has partnered with the cosmetic brand Laura Geller to offer premium skincare and makeup products within the onboard gift shops.
Significant changes have been made to the culinary program under the direction of Chef Robert Kellerhals. The Chef’s Table restaurants will now offer Italian lunches, and dinner menus have been redesigned to feature more signature dishes. Onboard lounges have been rebranded as The Lark, where a new all-day dining menu is available. The company has also introduced a specialized bread concept and a variety of house-made snacks, such as protein balls and muesli bars, available throughout the day.
The beverage program has seen an expansion, with the number of included wines growing to over 30 varieties per sailing. A new feature for the European fleet is the inclusion of complimentary soft drinks available at all times. On certain itineraries, the line has collaborated with regional artisans, such as master chocolatier Johannes Bachhalm on the Danube, to provide locally inspired confections directly to guest staterooms.
These enhancements are integrated into the standard AmaWaterways model, which includes various shore excursion options, Wi-Fi, and the services of a professional Cruise Manager. The 2026 season also debuts a updated visual identity for the brand, reflected in a new collection of onboard items and design elements. The company continues to operate journeys across Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa, and South America, maintaining its focus on custom-designed ships and regionally inspired travel.
