DoorDash is launching a suite of features to help restaurants drive sales, improve efficiency and better serve customers.
The updates include live order management within the Business Manager App, allowing merchants to confirm orders, adjust prep times and mark orders ready for pickup on the go, said Avani Nanavati, director of Merchant Experience at DoorDash.
“At DoorDash, we’re committed to empowering merchants with the tools they need to thrive in today’s digital world,” Nanavati said in a company press release. “These new features represent another step forward in providing merchants with real-time control, seamless communication, and enhanced efficiency. By simplifying order management, streamlining operations, and fostering direct connections with customers, we’re helping merchants deliver exceptional service and grow their businesses.”
A redesigned tablet experience offers scrollable tickets, improved navigation and quick actions for managing orders. The platform is also introducing a customer chat function on the tablet, enabling direct communication between restaurants and customers to resolve issues.
Additional features include the ability to extend kitchen prep times during busy periods, manage out-of-stock items with better visibility and set specific hours for limited-time menu offerings. DoorDash is also expanding same-day onboarding for eligible new merchants.
