Celebrity chef Bobby Flay is bringing his fast casual concept, Bobby’s Burgers, to Canada, thanks to a multi-year, 65-unit development deal with The Falcon Capital Group.

Led by Jim Gormley, a Canadian entrepreneur and franchise executive, the first location will open in Toronto.

“Expanding into Canada and becoming an international brand is a major milestone,” Flay said in a company press release. “The Falcon Capital Group brings proven expertise…that makes them the ideal partners to bring our signature handcrafted burgers, fries and milkshakes to a new audience.”

The Falcon Capital Group is scouting locations in the Greater Toronto Area, with a focus on downtown Toronto for the brand’s Canadian flagship.

“The quality and flavor of Bobby’s menu are unmatched,” Gormley said. “We’re excited to bring this exceptional premium burger experience to Canadian consumers.”

The Canadian agreement is part of Bobby’s Burgers’ larger expansion plans. The brand currently has nine U.S. locations with over a dozen more in development.
